Known for his candid and disarming hands-on style of leadership, Elliot brings more than 37 years of leadership in government and management consulting to his colleagues. Elliot
has had central roles winning, organizing and leading large-scale, complex assignments in telecommunications, national security matters, transportation, healthcare and information technology. From 2001 onward he provided top level leadership on all client delivery and internal processes at BayFirst. BayFirst has twice been recognized among the Washington, DC fastest growing companies. Previously, Elliot was a partner and vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton serving in a range of capacities for 18 years.
Elliot is currently engaged by the Presidents and CEOs of boutique analytics consulting firms and government support contracting firms to provide business strategy and management advice to company leaders. In a recent correspondence one CEO wrote “Interesting – ever since you started advising the Company, we started making profits! Thanks Coach!”
He is also providing organizational and operational consultation to artist management organizations focused on leader development and transition strategy. Keenly interested leader development at levels, Elliot was pleased to receive an appointment from the USCGA as Special Representative to the Director’s Coordinating Council of the Admiral James M. Loy Institute for Leadership. He was an invited speaker at the 28th Annual Ethics Forum at the Academy.
In the community he serves as Chairman of the Bowdoin International Music Festival one of the top chamber music festivals in North America. He has held several executive committee roles at his synagogue including Finance VP, Administrative VP, and currently Chairman Trustee of the Building Preservation Fund. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Dance Exchange a renowned contemporary dance company. Elliot also served as a Trustee of the Maryland School for the Deaf and on the Board of Associates of Gallaudet University. Elliot has a BA degree from Wittenberg University and an MS degree from Ohio University.
